hi!

 

I’m Alex, an LA-native and now NYC-based writer, food pop-up host, ceramicist, and medical student.

In the fated year of 2020, I realized I needed a space for my content more permanent than a nine-picture ig grid, more wordy than an IG caption, and more shareable than my Notes app. This blog is that space. 

This is not your usual food blog though:

  • recipes: i promise all my recipes are fully developed (i.e., tested multiple times!) and founded in food science. my recipes include directions that anticipate your questions, non-negotiables, ideas with which to try experimenting, and food styling inspiration. they are centered around whole-food, plant-based, community-based cooking. oh, and i will never make you scroll through a whole narrative before the recipe.

  • blog: i will drop my longer-form food narratives here instead. (now post-undergrad, my English degree begs to be used.)

  • events: sometime I hold pop ups and fundraisers in the city.
